The Bomber, also known as a Zirro, is a fungal enemy which appeared in A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening. They are sentient mushroom-like creatures that have grown wings. They fly around well watered areas and fields, seeking out prey or enemies to their domain. If they see Link, the Bomber will drop an explosive substance similar to a bomb down onto the hero, which will destruct on contact with the target or nearby ground and can cause a lot of damage to Link. They use their wings to their advantage, swiftly dodging close-range weapons like swords, although if Link is fast enough, they can be destroyed using a blade. Blue Bombers are unable to drop bombs, but they can withstand more damage and will simply be a nuisance. Bombers often leave behind Fairies when destroyed.
