Flute Boy's Father
The Flute Boy's Father is a tired old man who Link finds in the Kakariko Village Tavern. He is usually sleeping & is the father of the Flute Boy whose apparition appears in the Haunted Grove as a repeating loop and who Link later on finds in the Dark World. During the game, he is concerned about the well-being of his son and is awaiting his return. He tells Link that his son went to search for the Golden Power. He tells Link to play the Flute in front of the Weathercock in Kakariko Village after Link wakes him up with the Flute & tells him what happened to his son. He is ultimately reunited with his son after Link takes possession of the Triforce & reverses all the evil done by Ganon.
Loyal Sage
The Loyal Sage is an old man who maintains the Sanctuary. He guards Zelda & stays with her after Link rescues her from the castle dungeon & brings her to the Sanctuary. He is mortally wounded when soldiers attack the Sanctuary & kidnap Zelda just after Link obtains the Master Sword while he's still in the Lost Woods. As he is dying, the Loyal Sage tells Link that Zelda was taken to Hyrule Castle so Agahnim could use her to open the Seven Wise Men's Seal. The Loyal Sage is revived after Link defeats Ganon, acquires the Triforce, and reverses Ganon's evil wishes.
Man in the Former Hideout of Blind's Gang of Thieves
Link encounters a character in the former hideout of Blind's gang of thieves in Kakariko Village. He gives Link a big clue about Blind's weakness & hatred of bright light.

Bug-Catching Kid
One of the characters Link meets in Kakariko Village is a sick boy named the Bug-Catching Kid. He lends Link his Bug-Catching Net when Link visits him since he's stuck in bed. He says that he got sick from the evil air coming off Death Mountain. His house has a portrait of Mario. He finally recovers from his sickness in the ending sequence after Link reverses Ganon's evil doing.

Bottle Merchant

Man With the Overgrown Yard
Directly east of the Bug-Catching Kid's house in Kakariko Village is the Man With the Overgrown Yard. He is unnamed, but is familiar with & knows Link's name. He tells Link about Zora's Lake & refers to Zora's Flippers and its ability to make Link swim. Later on if Link visits him again, the man tells him about the Flute Boy, the Flute Boy's pet bird, and his disappearance after going to Death Mountain. The Man With the Overgrown Yard is also seen with the Bug-Catching Kid and one of the Informant Women in the ending sequence.
Old Woman In Sahasrahla's House
The first time Link heads out to Kakariko Village in search for Sahasrahla, he finds an Old Woman staying at his house. She tells him about the Hylia & the treasures they hid throughout Hyrule, the Master Sword, and also tells him to keep searching the village for someone who knows Sahasrahla's whereabouts. Later on she compliments Link on his appearance and requests him to save Hyrule from Agahnim.

Old Woman With A Broom
Immediately west of the house where the Bug-Catching Kid lives in Kakariko Village is an Old Woman with a broom who assures Link that she believes him despite the rumors of him kidnapping Zelda.
Dashing Man in Red
Standing very close to the Old Woman With A Broom in Kakariko Village is a nameless man wearing a red hat & a red jacket. He takes off whenever Link gets too close to him & is incredibly fast. Later on when Link acquires the Pegasus Boots, he chases down the Dashing Man in Red & is able to catch up to him. He advises Link to dash into objects such as trees in Kakariko Village, as he could find various objects hidden in them. Based on his dialog with Link, he initially believed the rumors about Link being a criminal, but admits that Link doesn't look like a bad guy after speaking to him. He does however continue to run thereafter when approached by Link.
Informant Women
In Kakariko Village, Link will meet 2 women who inform the soldiers about his presence when he talks to them. One of them lives in a house directly west of the Bottle Merchant. Her house contains a special hen that turns into a woman when Link sprinkles Magic Powder on it. The other one lives in a house directly north of the Man With the Overgrown Yard. Her house contains a portrait of Mario that has four 5-rupee pieces that pop out when Link pulls on it. Right after any of them inform the soldiers of Link's presence, they run into their respective houses.

Soldiers
At the beginning of the game, various friendly soldiers wearing golden armor can be seen prior to them losing their minds as a result of Agahnim's magic. They can be found blocking the exit on the screen with Link's House, the exit on the screen immediately west of Link's House, the western exit on the screen with Hyrule Castle, and the front gate of Hyrule Castle. One more can be found on the exterior part of the 2F level of Hyrule Castle. The soldiers all disappear after Link rescues Zelda from the castle dungeon. Though it is mentioned that the soldiers lose their minds, Link never encounters the ones wearing the golden armor as hostile soldiers after their disappearance.
