Desert Dungeon
From Zelda Wiki, the Zelda encyclopedia
The term Desert Dungeon may refer to any of the desert / sand themed dungeons of The Legend of Zelda series.
Characteristics
Located in deserts or in sandy areas, dungeons of this type show several different obstacles, such as quicksands, ancient traps, rocky or sandy passages, and deceitful rooms. Puzzle-wise, desert dungeons are less stereotypical than the fire or water dungeons in the sense that the puzzles revolve about more basic concepts like block pushing or torch lighting. Enemies, on the other hand, are more consistent with the sandy environment, although some are reminiscent of the bestiary seen in the shadow and earth dungeons.
