Direct linked images
From Zelda Wiki.org
Direct linked images means when you post an image from another website withot using the uploader or getting their permission to consume there bandwith.
In some cases, people on the bad end of image-linking (namely the webmasters who host the images) who find out that somebody is stealing their bandwidth, takes steps to ruin their repuation. When a Zelda Universe member direct-linked to a screen of the Chris Houlihan room from the tutorial on forum member Captain Cornflake's gaming site, VGRC.net, in a topic on the ZU Forums, the Capn replaced the image with a gross hybrid of Mario and Goatse, which showed up right in the poor thief's post. Needless to say, that's one less person who is stealing bandwidth.
If you don't want a similar scenario to happen to you, we suggest you don't do it either, and use an image host such as Photobucket or Imageshack to host your images.
