Link's Awakening

The Dog Food is the third item in the trading sequence in Link's Awakening. A little Chain Chomp in a side room in Madam MeowMeow's house will give Link this can of dog food in return for a Ribbon.[1] The can of dog food then has to be given to the hungry Sale of Sale's Banana Shop on Toronbo Shores,[2] who then gives Link a bunch of bananas as thanks.[3]

Because part of the Link's Awakening Trading Sequence is required in order to progress further in the game, it is required that Link obtains the Dog Food and trades it.

The Minish Cap

Dog Food is also an item in The Minish Cap. If Link sneaks behind the counter in Stockwell's Shop using his Minish abilities, Link can pick up the Bottle of dog food. Stockwell will tell Link that he can keep the Bottle if Link feeds his dog, Fifi,[4] since he is too busy to do it himself.[5] Fifi can be found inside Stockwell's home in the Lake Hylia region.
