Gengle is a character in Twilight Princess.[3]

Biography[]

Gengle is Jovani's Cat. When his owner got cursed, Gengle became solid gold on top of his head.[4] If Link gets 20 Poe Souls, Gengle will return to normal. However, Jovani will remain solid gold until Link gets the rest of the Poe Souls.[5]

Gengle is revealed to be the leader of the cats in the town.[6] The cats gathering outside Jovani's house say that they are waiting for Gengle to come out and play.[2][7]

After Link finds all 60 Poe Souls and Jovani recovers, Jovani can be found in Telma's Tavern to progress the quest. Speaking to him allows Gengle to give Link up to 200 Rupees from Jovani's Rupee hoard once per visit to Castle Town. In Twilight Princess HD, he will also give Link the Rupee Miiverse Stamp.
