The Grip Ring is found in Mount Crenel in The Minish Cap. It is bought from a Business Scrub hiding in a cave for 40 Rupees; a shield is required to deflect the Scrub's attacks to initiate the sale. The Grip Ring will give Link the ability to climb certain walls, a necessary ability to climb to the top of the mountain (and down again, of course). The game's second dungeon, Cave of Flames, can only be reached by using the Grip Ring to scale the mountain. This item is also required to reach Grayblade, who resides in a cave on Mount Crenel's eastern side.
