The Hawkeye is an item in Twilight Princess.
Location and Uses
The Hawkeye allows Link to see farther away than usual. It is similar to the Telescope in The Wind Waker. Link can combine it with the Hero's Bow to be used as like a sniper. It is an optional object and is not required to complete the game, but helps to attack distant enemies.
The Hawkeye is a one of a kind item that can only be purchased at the Malo Mart in Kakariko Village after completing Talo and Malo's bow mini-game. Once Link completes the Goron Mines, he can talk to Talo to start the sidequest, which consists of hitting three targets scattered around Kakariko Village using the bow and arrow. Successfully hitting the third target yields the young hero a Piece of Heart, and the Hawkeye will also be available for purchase at Malo Mart for 100 Rupees.
In Link's Crossbow Training, pressing the "Z" button will activate a zoom similar to the Hawkeye mask function.
