The spells in Zelda's Adventure

The following is a list of the items called treasures in Zelda's Adventure.

Black Orb

Obtained in the Shrine of Illusion. When placed in the cup in the same dungeon, it opens up a door allowing Zelda to proceed onward.

Bone

Bought in Great Wimbich for 20 rupees. If given to the dog in town, Zelda will receive the Short Axe.

Candle

Candles can be bought at various shops around Tolemac. They light up dark rooms, but can only be used once.

Coal

Obtained in the mines near the Shrine of Strength. When given to blacksmith in Great Wimbich, it creates the Diamond.

Compass

Compasses are obtained in every dungeon in Zelda's Adventure. They act similar to compasses in other Zelda games (i.e. showing your location and the location of the dungeon's boss), but with the added effect of warping you back to the dungeon you obtained it from, if used outside of the dungeon.

Diamond

Can be sold at a shop for 999 rupees.

Empty Bottle

Given to Zelda by Glebb the thirsty woman. When used at the source of the river, it creates the Water Bottle.

Flute

Obtained in Great Wimbich from Evon. Used to defeat the Snake, which leaves behind the Pyros Spell.

Golden Boots

Found in the Borokno Marsh village. They are used to enter the domed house in Borokno Marsh village.

Harp

Found in a cave one screen north of the Mobilin Head Inn. This particular instrument allows Zelda to warp back to the beginning of a dungeon.

Keys

Keys are used in Shrines to open locked doors. Each key can only be used once.

Knife

When used in a particular room in the Shrine of Illusion, it will cut open the canvas on the wall allowing Zelda to continue onward.

Life Potion

This is sold for 200 rupees in a few places. Zelda can only have one Life Potion at a time, but she can buy another when she's used one up. Using it will refill Zelda's Life Meter.

Magic Shield

It's sold in a shop for 500 rupees. This shield will block most projectile attacks when Zelda is standing still and facing the direction of the attack.

Map

Obtained in Shrines, these allow Zelda to see the layout of the Shrine she's in.

Plank

When used at the broken bridge in the Shrine of Water, it allows Zelda to cross over the broken section.

Raft

Found in Great Wimbich. This allows Zelda to move across great bodies of water when used at a port.

Red Boots

Obtained in the Shrine of Earth. The Red Boots act similar to the Boots of The Adventure of Link, allowing Zelda to walk over certain bodies of water.

Red Bow

Buying this at the Shrine of Strength will allow the Red Knight to appear.

Repellent

Sold in the Borokno Marsh village for 100 rupees. It is used to scare away Swamp Zola.

Rug

Obtained in the Shrine of Air. It causes Zelda to slide around less on the slippery surfaces of the Shrine.

Rupee

Rupees are the currency of Tolemac. In order to purchase various items, Zelda must select the rupee on the item menu.

Stepladder

Found in the Forest of Ogbam. It allows Zelda to cross the chasm in the Shrine of Earth.

Ticket

Sold in the Shrine of Strength. It allows Zelda to fight the mini-bosses, the Knights.

Vial of Winds

If Zelda gives water to Glebb, the thirsty woman will reward Zelda with this. It is used in conjunction with the raft to reach the Shrine of Water.

Wand

Found east of the starting point, it is Zelda's main means of attack as well as her only weapon. The Wand can be used in conjunction with any spells Zelda knows to be able to throw the spell. This is the only weapon that cost no rupees to use.

Water Bottle

When given to Glebb the thristy woman, she'll give Zelda the Vial of Winds.
