Kinstones

Kinstones are the mystical stones found in The Minish Cap. They come in four colors - green, red, blue and gold. Each color (except gold) has three different shapes.
Green Kinstones can be found by cutting up grass and bushes, digging, or killing enemies, but blue and red must be found in chests or bought. The rare gold Kinstones only appear for important game storyline bonuses, and are used in specific points throughout the game, such as when access to the third dungeon must be gained.
The Kinstones are created and hid by the Picori, who take great delight in it. They are used in the process of Kinstone Fusion. If two Kinstone pieces fit together perfectly, that means good luck for whoever fused the two of them together. If Link fuses Kinstones, often he will be able to find a Piece of Heart or another bonus.
