The Kokiri Boots act as shoes for Link in Ocarina of Time. They are simple leather boots, acting as foot protectors for the hero. Link wears them as his main footwear throughout Ocarina of Time, starting the game with them on. There is nothing special about them, except that they are the only pair of boots in the Zelda series that are both given a name and are worn from the start of the game. These boots can only become unequipped once Link has obtained a different kind of footwear, namely the Iron Boots and Hover Boots.
