Lantern Oil is a recurring Item in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]

Uses and Location[]

Lantern Oil is used to fuel the Lantern and can be stored in empty Bottles. To put it in the Lantern, Link must equip the Bottle of Lantern Oil, then he must take out the Lantern and press the button in which the Bottle is equipted to. Link will then proceed to pour the liquid into his Lantern until it is full.

Lantern Oil can be purchased at several shops, as well as being found in a few dungeons like Arbiter's Grounds. Yellow Chu Jelly can be scooped after defeating a Yellow Chu Chu to be used as a substitute.

In The Faces of Evil, Lantern Oil, also known as Lamp Oil,[2] is used to light the Lantern in dark areas for brief periods of time. It is purchased from Morshu's shop. Lantern Oil is purchased in packs of three for five Rubies. The third upgrade to the Lanterns, however, does not require any Lantern Oil to be lit.

The Wand of Gamelon[]

In The Wand of Gamelon, Lantern Oil is used to light the Lantern in dark areas for brief periods of time. It is purchased from the Merchant's shop. Lantern Oil is purchased in packs of three for five Rubies. The third upgrade to the Lanterns, however, does not require any Lantern Oil to be lit.
