In Majora's Mask, Madame Aroma is the wife of Mayor Dotour and the mother of Kafei.

Biography

Since Kafei's disappearance, she has been trying to locate him, but when Link visits her at the Mayor's Office, it appears that the Carnival of Time is another one of her priorities.^[3] She is in charge of the activities taking place during the carnival and is busy working with Toto and Gorman for the majority of the three day period.^[4] She hires Link to investigate the disappearance of her son and gives him Kafei's Mask, which she made herself,^[5] so that he is able to question townspeople regarding Kafei's whereabouts.^[6] She is last seen attending her son's wedding during the ending credits.

She is one of twenty characters with an entry in the Bombers' Notebook and plays a part in the reuniting Kafei and Anju sidequest.

The Bombers' Notebook

Madame Aroma's entry in the Bombers' Notebook consists of only two tasks. The first is very simple. Link must visit her in the Mayor's office any time after 10:00 AM on the first or second day. Once he speaks with Madame Aroma, she will hand over Kafei's Mask.

The second part of her entry will not be able to be completed until towards the end of the reuniting Kafei and Anju sidequest. When Link receives the priority mail from the Postman, he must go deliver it to the Milk Bar after 6 PM. Wearing Kafei's Mask, Link can hand over this letter to Madame Aroma, who in return will happily reward Link with a bottle full of Chateau Romani.

Trivia

• The Mayors' wives (Madame Aroma, and Mrs. Ruul from Oracle of Seasons) and the female teachers (Mrs. Marie from The Wind Waker, Tina and Dina from The Minish Cap) all share a similar hairstyle.
• Madame Aroma is one of the few Majora's Mask characters that does not have an Ocarina of Time counterpart.
• Madame Aroma and Mayor Dotour wear matching wedding rings, both holding large red gems.
