Majora's Mask
The Mayor's Residence, located on East Clock Town in Majora's Mask, is the office of Mayor Dotour, and it's also the home to his wife, Madame Aroma, and son, Kafei. It is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.[1] The building does not function only as a home, however, and is also where the mayor does his mayoral duties and holds meetings.
There is a young secretary in the lobby who will direct visitors to one of two rooms. On the left is the mayor's office, wherein he does important tasks such as signing papers, holding meetings, and making sure that the citizens of Clock Town are happy.[2] To the right is the waiting room. Madame Aroma and Toto can be found here quite often.[3] With a little searching, the bedroom and diary of Kafei can also be found.
A discussion is currently being held in the mayor's office during Link's adventure in Termina. The meeting's topic is whether to mandate an evacuation notice to the townsfolk, and whether the carnival should still take place or not. Mutoh the carpenter is strongly against mandatory evacuation, but Viscen, the soldiers' captain, is in favor of it.[4] If Link wears the Couple's Mask during the meeting, the Mayor is reminded of his wife, and he will decide against the mandatory evacuation. He simply requests that everyone go home to their family, and if they want to run away or stay in town, then that is their own decision to make.[5]
Meanwhile, Madame Aroma and Toto are in the drawing room canceling all the performances they had prepared for the Carnival of Time due to the singer of The Indigo-Go's losing her voice.[6]
Oracle of Ages
In Oracle of Ages, the mayor Plen lives in a small house in Lynna City. In the past, there was no mayor, but rather the city was ruled by Queen Ambi who resided in a palace north of Lynna Village. The idea of a mayor must have been introduced sometime in the past 400 years or so, as there was a lack of a mayor in the past and a lack of royalty in present day. In present day, the city is no longer ruled by royalty. The area where Queen Ambi's palace once stood had disappeared and the area became Nuun Highlands.
The Minish Cap
In The Minish Cap, the mayor is Mayor Hagen. He lives in Hyrule Town, near the top right corner of the town, right below the schoolhouse. He has a collection of rare masks, and if Link runs into the wall, they will fall off and sometimes yield Rupees. He also has a ladder in his yard that leads underground.
