The Life Medal acts as a Heart Container, but takes up one space in the Adventure Pouch.[1] It can be purchased from Beedle's Air Shop for 800 Rupees. Another can be found in a Goddess Cube Chest northwest of Fun Fun Island, allowing Link's total hearts to reach a maximum of twenty.

The Heart Medal causes Hearts to appear more often.[2] This is also the only object that causes Hearts to appear and heart flowers to bloom in Hero Mode.[3] There are two of these to be found, both from activating Goddess Cubes and opening their corresponding chests.

Rupee Medal

The Treasure Medal increases the frequency of finding Treasures.[5] It can be found in a Goddess Cube Chest southeast of Beedle's Island in The Sky.

Potion Medal

The Potion Medal causes the effects of Potions such as the Guardian Potion to last longer.[6] It can be found in a Goddess Cube Chest far to the west of Skyloft.

Cursed Medal

The Cursed Medal increases the frequency of finding Rupees and Treasure, but it disables the use of the pouch.[7] This means Link cannot use Potions, Bottles or any Shield. However, items that do not need to be equipped, like Bomb Bags and Medals, will continue functioning. The medal can be obtained by giving Batreaux thirty Gratitude Crystals.
