Minish Link

Minish Link is Link, reduced to the size of one of the Minish through the magic power of Ezlo. Link can be turned into Minish Link only in certain places, set up as special portals to the world of the Minish. Many of these portals are hollow tree stumps.

Being Minish grants Link access to various places normally too tiny for a human to enter. While in this state Link can find and communicate with the Minish (although he will not understand their language before consuming a Jabber Nut) and animals. This also enables Link to fuse Kinstones with various animals.

In his Minish state, Link will lose the ability to use the Ocarina of Wind and Picolyte. Some cats and Cucco chicks will see Link in his Minish state as prey or an enemy, and will attack him. Link will also drown in shallow puddles that posed no threat in his normal state ( Link will not drown if he is in posession of the Flippers). Trenches that a normal-sized Link could hide in, will cause Minish Link to fall to his doom.

Minish link bears a resemblence to link useing the gnat hat>
