Ordon Ranch is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1] Ordon Ranch goes unnamed in Link's Crossbow Training.

Features and Overview[]

Twilight Princess[]

The Ordon Ranch is a farm located at the end of Ordon Village. It is run by Fado, and the only animals kept there are Ordon Goats.

The ranch is first visited at the beginning of the game, where Link must ride Epona to herd all of the Ordon Goats into the barn.[2] This mini-game of sorts can be played as many times as the young hero desires to obtain a better time. After Link rounds up all of the goats in the stable, Fado will put up a few fences around the ranch to allow Link to practice jump fencing with Epona.[3] Later on in the game, after Link returns to Ordon Village after a series of events, he can come back to the ranch and once again herd the goats into the stable. Fado will then reward the young hero with a Piece of Heart.

Inside the ranch's stable is a secret dig spot that leads to a Rare Chu. The Postman can also be seen at the back of the barn.

Other Appearances[]

Link's Crossbow Training[]

In Link's Crossbow Training, the Ordon Ranch appears in the Stage Finale. The viewpoint changes every 20 seconds, beginning with a distant view of the stables. Link must shoot the Bokoblins as they rush towards him with weapons drawn. Most of the Bokoblins are seen riding Ordon Goats, and the rare red Bokoblins are worth more points than the blue ones. The second phase of the level zooms in closer to the ranch and the Bokoblins pass from view much faster. The stage ends with a larger view of the ranch field, where a swarm of Keese can be seen dropping more Bokoblins off to the battleground.
