From Zelda Wiki, the Zelda encyclopedia
Slaroks are the Dark World version of the common Octorok, found in A Link to the Past.
Characteristics and Weaknesses
Slaroks have unusual, antennae-like tentacles that may act as eyes. As such, they resemble a gastropod akin to a slug or snail, rather than an octopus. However, their similarities in attack (spitting rocks at their enemies) near-identical movement behavior indicate that they are related. Like Octoroks, they appear primarily near water, such as the shores of the Ice Lake and near the waterfalls to the north of the Dark Palace. Also like Octoroks, they have relatively low defense compared to other enemies in the Dark World; they can be killed with one swing of the Master Sword. However, as with most Dark World enemies, they cause more damage and have better defense than their Light World counterparts.
