Spirit Gems

Spirit Gems are items that are hidden in Phantom Hourglass that can be found by opening chests, solving puzzles, purchasing, getting through the mail, or being handed one by completing a certain event. There are three in total and each of them has a different effect depending on which Servant Spirit is equipped. If the Spirit of Power, Leaf, is equipped, then Link's sword attack power is higher. If Neri is equipped, then Link's defense is higher. If Ciela is equipped, Link is able to use the Sword Beam attack.

Power Gem

There are 20 gems in total. Once Link obtains ten, the Spirit of Power gains power, and a new ability can be used. Gaining all 20 increases the Spirit's power further.

For the spirit of Power, getting 10 gems lets Link's sword light on fire and double attack power. Getting all 20 quadruples the power.

Wisdom Gem

There are 20 in total and are found all over the Great Sea. Once Link obtains ten, the Spirit of Wisdom gains power and a new ability can be used. Gaining all 20 increases the Spirit's power further.

For the spirit of Wisdom, getting 10 gems lets Link's defense double. Getting all 20 quadruples the defense.

Courage Gem

There are 20 in total and are found all over the Great Sea. Once Link obtains ten, the Spirit of Courage gains power and a new ability can be used. Gaining all 20 increases the Spirit's power further.

For the Spirit of Courage, getting 10 gems lets Link shoot a beam from his sword. Getting 20 doubles the width.
