Page has been stubbed as it needs to be expanded. Consistancy of images (boxes vs unboxed. No mention of the Adventure of Link incarnation other than in the infobox. Also, there are multiple versions in the original Legend of Zelda that should be noted. Mases 03:28, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

A Link to the Past Goriyas[]

- Read the article. They were clearly meant to be a different, unrelated enemy, going from the fact that they're called Coppies in Japan. It's another case of the translators trying to pass off an enemy as a different one, like with ReDead Knight/Gibdo fiasco. - Dere 03:18, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
NOT Goriyas in Oracle of Seasons[]
I don't think the red, boomerang wielding enemies are Goriyas. I think they're just boomerang-using Moblins. The ONLY thing suggesting they're Goriyas is the boomerang, and that's not a very good method to go by - Stalfos use clubs, swords, and bones variously throughout the series, but they're all Stalfos because they're skeletons. --KingStarscream 20:23, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
- Japanese official guide for the game names them as Goriyas separately from all the other Moblin types. I think the fact that they look like Moblins has more to do with them being lazy and not making a new sprite for them. Plus the visual distinction is less major with such a small sprite. Anyway, it's how they're officially named, so that's what we go with.
- Now, the Goriyas in A Link to the Past are definitely NOT Goriyas, but since NoA called them Goriyas we're kinda stuck with it, I suppose. User:Fizzle8094/sig 01:00, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

- Given that the mini-boss ones look more like Taros, I think it's safe to say it was just a sprite-recycling thing and/or nobody remembered what Goriyas looked like anymore. Split[]
The "Goriyas" from ALttP and ABW have drasicly difrent from normal Goriyas, they also have difrent Japanise names, so I propose we should split the article. Gopherdude12 (talk) 00:54, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

- But it is a mistranslation. While they look like Goriyas, they are nothing like the original enemy, and their Japanese name indicates that. They should have their own page while mentioned that they are erroneously called Goriyas. Blin Family[]
