Page clean up[]

The article contains links to both Giant Wallet and Giant's Wallet. Giant Wallet has its own page, but the Giant's Wallet link redirects to this page, making the link worthless. I would just fix this, but I think it would be better if the wiki have a discussion on weather to make articles for each wallet or have the article divided up into the games and then each wallet available in the games discussed there, much like the boomerang article. (IF YOU READ THIS, PLEASE COMMENT AND LEAVE YOUR OPINION. THANKS)--Magnus orion 18:39, 31 March 2008 (EDT)

I agree with the idea of having this one overall "Wallet" page, and having a subdivision for each game. "Giant's Wallet", "Bigger Wallet", "Biggest Wallet", etc. would all just redirect here. I'd be willing to help with the re-writing that would be necessary for this. --Ando (T : C) 01:01, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
All the wallet pages need to be merged into one. I wanted to do this a while ago, but I was feeling too lazy :) —Adam (talk) 13:26, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
well I'm willing to make the article to the best of my ability, but if you go to my user page, you will see which zelda games I have not played. If any information is known about any wallets or the maximum rupee carrying capacity for those games, tat would be great. I plan on including the maximum rupee numbers for games that do not feture wallets, if it seems like a good idea... If I remeber correctly, maximum rupees in the first game was 256. I have no rememberence from A link to the past since I borrowed it... and the Oracles were 999 each, right?--Magnus orion 17:21, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
The limit for LoZ was 255, ALttP was 999, as were the Oracles games. Just about every other game had varying amounts depending on the wallet. I'll do whatever I can over the next couple of hours. It'll probably still need some added input (I can't entirely remember the limits in OoT nor LA). --Ando (T : C) 20:21, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
Okay, I've re-written the article and I'm loading it on now. It's going to need some extra info, specifically for the Ocarina of Time and Phantom Hourglass sections (I can't remember what the Phantom Hourglass maximum Rupee amount is!). Feel free to edit all this as necessary. --Ando (T : C) 21:05, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
cool, I added info for Ocarina of Time. I'm am almost positive the Skulltula amounts are right :D--Magnus orion 16:36, 2 April 2008 (EDT)
According to our Gold Skulltula Tokens page they are, so no worries there, I'd say. --Ando (T : C) 16:38, 2 April 2008 (EDT)
Yeah... Also, If we are to trust game reviews and cheat code websites that come up when I googled "Phantom Hourglass Maximum Rupees", it would be 9999, which puts Wind Waker out of the top slot. Should I add this in or look for a more reliable source?--Magnus orion 16:41, 2 April 2008 (EDT)
9999? I hit maximum Rupees in that game, but I don't remember it being that high... I say that we leave it as is right now until someone here can verify this with their copy of the game (guess I better start saving those Rupees again... :P). --Ando (T : C) 16:51, 2 April 2008 (EDT)
It sounded a bit far-fetched to me, too, but considering that it was a cheating website backed up by another site where someone asked, there may be a cheat to get more... More importantly, for Oracle of Seasons, should we mention ores?--Magnus orion 17:04, 2 April 2008 (EDT)
Hmm, maybe just a quick "Also! Ores." I don't know the maximum for these... If you feel like putting this in, go ahead. --Ando (T : C) 17:14, 2 April 2008 (EDT)
I'm fairly certain 999 was the maximum for Ores, I just remember the limit being the same as the rupee limit, not the exact number. I'll just edit that little bit in with a link to the Ore page... (which, after glancing at it, probably needs some attention itself). --Douken 14:07, 3 April 2008 (EDT)
LoZ: 255
ALttP: 999
LA: 999 (no upgrades)
OoT: Child (99), Adult (200), Giant (500)
MM: Child (99), Adult (200), Giant (500)
OoA/OoS: 999 for all (no upgrades)
TWW: 200, 1000, 5000
FS: ???
TMC: Wallet (300), Big (500), Bigger (999)
TP: Wallet (300), Big (600), Giant (1000)
PH: 9999, I believe

Did Four Swords have Rupees? I've never played it, but I figured that it would just have had Force Gems. --Ando (T) 17:48, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Well, I have Phantom Hourglass now, and I can now confirm it is, in fact, 9999 rupees, so I will add it to the article and replace Wind Waker's hold on highest rupee count. --Magnus orion 20:20, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Twilight Princess clarification[]

I could have sworn that one didn't receive the first Wallet upgrade from Agitha until after she's been given 12 of the Golden Bugs, not just one... Am I wrong? --Ando (T) 03:30, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Um, yes, you are. Sorry. But Agitha gives you the bigger wallet so that Link can hold the rewards she gives you, or that you she can share her happyness with you, or something along those lines. You know, because she gives you so many Rupees that you need a bigger wallet to hold them all in. --HelmarocKing 09:40, 09 April 2008 (GMT)
Huh. I totally thought that it was after 12. Well then, thanks for that. :P --Ando (T) 03:42, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Reorganization[]

The whole layout here doesn't really seem that effective to me. This page is more about the types of wallets and not really generally the Rupee systems of each game. We need to reorganize this to have a more fluid layout that has more focus on the types of wallets rather than the games' money systems.Matt (Talk) 21:51, September 19, 2010 (UTC)

Quick fix in the notes[]

There was a note that said the 255 Rupee limitation in the original game was due to the fact that one bit was being used to store the data. This is not correct, though on the right track. One word was used to store the data, and a word is equivalent to 256 bits. This corresponds to the 255 Rupees + the zero point. I fixed this syntactical error, but if I worded it poorly, feel free to fix it.

Big problem with page[]

Currently, the page claims that the wallet appears in games that it simply doesn't.

Now, it makes sense to discuss the Rupee limit here, instead of being spread across Rupee/Force Gem/Ore Chunk. But it's plainly inaccurate to claim that the Wallet appears in games where it doesn't.

I think we should retool the article to cover (first) the games in which a Wallet actually appears), and then mention money limits without wallets as a separate section, as well as non-purchase effects of having certian amounts of money (powering up Four Sword, getting the 777 Ore Chunk prize, etc.). Thoughts?KrytenKoro (talk) 17:29, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

Starting Wallets[]

For games with upgradable wallets, the sizes of the starting wallets are not listed. Could someone please add the starting wallet capacities please? Thanks! Litnin200 (talk) 04:57, 13 August 2015 (UTC)

Four Swords Anniversary Edition Rupee Maximum[]

This says that the Four Swords Anniversary Edition Rupee Maximum is 999,999. It is not. Can somebody please look in the code and see what it is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zelgerath99 15:54, 24 July 2022‎

Discovered by $$$Link today, the maximum is 9,999,999. Sorry, I do not know how to format. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zelgerath99 20:16, 25 July 2022‎

Added. Thanks for the heads up. - Chuck * (Talk) 04:01, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
