The Coast is the first stage in Eastern Hyrule in Four Swords Adventures. After rescuing the Blue Maiden from Hyrule Castle, the four Links are told to travel by sea to enter the Eastern Temple, via The Coast and its neighboring town, the Village of the Blue Maiden.
The Coast's terrain boasts a multitude of elevations from water paths to hilly levels, although the majority of the area is bound to the shoreline. In terms of gathering Recovery Hearts, the lack of vegetation in this area makes it quite the challenge to replenish one's life in the event of injury. While vegetation is scarce, the amount of enemies in this region more than makes up for it, with Octoroks, River Zoras, and Crabs appearing abundantly. Specifically, it is in this level that Link makes good use of the upgraded Slingshot (from a Great Fairy nearby) in keeping back a large River Zora force. Shadow Link appears three times, twice threatening the Links with Big Bombs and towards the end of the level, the Links come in contact with a Manhandla.
In respect to the inhabitants of this region, an isolated couple live here in a beach-side home: a man and his obese wife. The man advises the Links to utilize a hidden cave nearby in order to get past his home, because his wife refuses to move from the only door that would grant the Links' further progression through the level. She claims that since she can't fit through it, she won't allow anyone else to either.

- The Coast seems inspired by the southeast coast from Legend of Zelda and the Toronbo Shores from Link's Awakening, having a roughly similar geographical placement.
