The Lady's Lair is a Level in Tri Force Heroes.[name reference needed] It is the fourth and last Level of the Fortress area.

Themes and Navigation[]

The Lady's Lair is located at the very top of the Fortress that the Links infiltrate. As with the rest of the Fortress, it is heavily guarded by Soldiers and obstacles. As its name suggests, it is the lair of Lady Maud and is where the Links first encounter her.

In Stage 1, the Links appear in a room with a Boomerang, Gust Jar and Gripshot. The next room features a puzzle in which giant, iron balls roll across the floor, with raised, diamond-shaped platforms blocking their way. These platforms can be alternately raised and lowered by hitting a colored Switch across a gap. An orange Switch on the floor can be pressed to move two shields which block two more switches. The Links must form a Totem, and throw two of the Links onto one of the raised platforms while the third Link presses the orange switch, allowing the other two Links to hit the timed switches across. The Links will have to quickly raise the other platform to achieve this. Hitting both switches raises a staircase to the Triforce Gateway.

In Stage 2, the Links fight a group of Bomb Soldiers and Spear Soldiers riding a spinning Ferris wheel. Bomb Flowers nearby suspended in mid-air can be used to attack them, which must be grabbed with the Boomerang or Gripshot. The Links can also throw back the Bombs that the Bomb Soldiers throw at them. After they are defeated, a heavy switch appears which must be pressed by all three Links. This turns the switch into an elevator which lifts the Links to the next Triforce Gateway. A chest nearby can be opened for three Hearts.

In Stage 3, the Links appear on a walkway outside of the Fortress, which spirals around it and must be climbed to the very top. More Soldiers are encountered along the way. The Links eventually reach a tight rope with Crows flocking around it. A cracked block sits in the path of the tight rope and must be detonated by grabbing a Bomb Flower suspended in mid-air. This requires that the Links carefully form a Totem on the tight rope to reach the Bomb. The block reveals a switch underneath, which pressing activates a moving platform to the next area. A chest on a ledge containing 50 Rupees can be reached by throwing the Links over. Eventually, the Links make their way to a bridge where they fight a group of Hardhat Beetles and a Sword Soldier. Defeating them opens the gate to the next area, where the Links face a pair of Hinoxes and a fire Ball and Chain Soldier. Defeating them makes the Triforce Gateway appear.

Stage 4 is where the Links encounter Lady Maud and fight her Pets inside the Fortress.
