The Swamp

The Swamp is the second stage of the Near the Fields level in Four Swords Adventures. At the entrance to the swamp, Kaepora Gaebora arrives and warns Link of the poison lands ahead. Kaepora Gaebora says Vaati poisoned the swamp and drove out it's regular inhabitants, all that remain are monsters. The terrain of The grassy terrain of The Swamp is pockmarked with poisonous pools of water and lined by rocky cliffsides. The cliffsides have many cave systems connecting areas of the swamp to one another. Especially useful since Shadow Link turns up to terrorize the heroes with Giant Bombs. The caves serve as life saving retreats.
Further into the area Dampe tends to a cemetery. Dampe tells of a mirror in which a Dark Tribe was sealed away long ago. Dampe indicates that it rested in the Forest of Light which he says is now the Forest of Dark. The Four Links access this area by lifting large trees from the path.
