ZU History
Mess joined the ZU Community through #ZUChat sometime in late July of 2003, as the alias MGotan. Come 08-04-2003, Mess joined the forums under the name MGotan. Shortly after, he requested his name on the forum to be changed to Link Messiah. Link Messiah was a nickname given to him by a friend in real life. The name followed onto the chatroom, but at the time, a character limit was in place, thus he went by "Link_Mess"... clearly due to the cut off. One could just guess as to why the name Mess came to be.
Mess was active primarily in the Zelda Forum section, never being too fond of the rest of the forum for some reason. In the Zelda Forum sections, Mess met a member who went by the name of DrZaius1. Although not always agree'ing on things, DrZaius1 is a good friend of Mess' to this day.
On 10/03/2003, Mess was in #ZUChat with probably the worst set of members he could have been with alone, at the time. Kedisar being one of them. During a discussion of music, because Kedisar didn't like Mess' taste, he gave Mess a link to a site which he claimed to be "A site with unreleased mp3's" of which Mess might like. Mess, innocent at the time, and unaware of what Kedisar was, and was to be considered later (Troll)... Mess clicked the link. Unfortold images began continuously popping up. The site hosting the pop up images well known as "Goatse", had really put Mess' resolution and browser settings out of wack. Mess in immense anger, decided to play a "little" joke of his own on Kedisar, by posting what he "claimed" to be, Kedisar's pics. [1] Immedietly Mess showed the chatroom, which ultimitely caused anyone to see what he had done... for Mess had removed the link he posted seconds later. He realized he'd be in trouble that he did not want to face.
After much drama... due to Mess already had 1 strike for double posting on his 2nd day (ish)... and because of his actions against Kedisar which earned him 2 additonal strikes... Mess was banner from Zelda Universe.
On 12/11/2003, Mess was unbanned from Zelda Universe. [2] He's not 100% sure as to why, although hears it was random decision.
Was an active member until around 02-18-2004 [3] when Mess decided a break was needed. Mess returned sometime several months later when his life picked back up.
Come 03/13/2005 Mess decided it was time again to part from the ZU life that he had. [4] and dissappeared from the internet, seemingly, until he had been discovered by undercover agents serving as a forum mod for The Hylia and decided to at least become an active member in the chat room.
Sometime around April of 2006, Mess's strike was lifted and all was well.
During the event of So..., Mess was given an infraction for stating the obvious facts that a moderator aliased as Hylian Z, did not respect. Mess remained absent from Zelda Universe for nearly 4 months until Leminnes removed the warning.
Since the creation of ZeldaInformer, Mess has and will be inactive at Zelda Universe.
