Hey guys on this page I'll tell you how I came to Zelda Wiki and what I mostly edit here.
The first timt I arrived here on Zelda Wiki had to be in Summer of 2008 when I was searching for strategies against Wind Waker enemies and when i took my first glimps at this site I was pretty impressed about all the well written articles an the great amount of images uploaded here. So just for enjoying reading the articles here I began following this wiki regularely, although I haven't created an account by that time.
One aspect of the site which impressed me the most were the theorie sections on the articles, especially the timeline theories, as with being inspired by all those theories I created my own, but didn't know a place where to post it. In hope of it becomng quite populare, I made an account on this site on the 29th of November 2009, for the sole reason of using this wiki as a place to spread my original timeline theorie, which if you take a look at it here is quite damn similair to the official one released in Hyrule Historia, (only that the games starting with ALttP in the "Child Timeline" had to be moved to the "Downfall Branch"). But as being disappointed that noone really cared for it, I hadn't loged in the wiki for nearly 2 years until I found out that the wiki had translations-pages, which needed to be helped out with. As I am a native German speaker I began to use my account again and since now contribue regulary on the translations pages. I also changed my theorie a little bit, but unfortunately, it now is less similair and more different to the official...
While talking about the official timeline and the recently added "Downfall Branch" I think that there are opportunities and chances that in the future Nintendo will work even more on timeline branches. I beleive this because I noticed that there are two spots in the timeline where this could be applied. First there could be a prequel to the WW, in which a hero actually appears and defeats Ganon, which leads into a new timeline and one where he fails and his actuall efforts are overshadowed by his defeat, leading the people to think that there wasn't an actual hero at all to begin with, which would ultimately make place for the events of Wind Waker. The second spot might not be as much intriguing, but there could be a split after ALttP, when Link would be first teleported by the Triforce to Labrynna and then Holodrum, making OoA happen before OoS, because this is even possible to be done in the games, (unlike OoT's defeated ending, because there isn't even a special cutscene to indicate this...). But well, as noted before those are just some of my theories and me speculating about it and maybe even some wishful thinking, but hey it might be possible and makes sence, right?
