Hey there, I'm Steve. I'm a frequent contributor here at Zelda Wiki, having been here for a bit. I've been a graphic designer for quite a few years now, and I've really improved by contributing images here. If you're new here and also enjoy graphic design, feel free to ask any questions on my talk page.

Biography

I was born as Steven Alexander Christian in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Germany on May 3, 1992. My father, Alan Christian was stationed at a US military base in Germany, in close range of my birth place. He was told that he would have to move to a military base in Kuwait during the Gulf War (aka the Persian Gulf War). After a year, my father returned from Kuwait when they learned that we must move to the state of Georgia in the United States, near his new station for training, where we were promised shelter and supplies. We moved to Atlanta, Georgia, close to my father's relatives. It was not very often that I saw my father, who could only leave his station a few times a month. When I turned 3, my mother, Candice Christian, started showing me the basics of computers with preschool education games and at the age of 4 I was learning the basics of using the internet.

I had finished Kindergarten, at 6 years of age, when my father had resigned from military activities after they were supposedly running chemical tests on the soldiers. He had strong disregard against this, and so we moved to the state of Massachusetts, where most of my mother's relatives lived. When my family first moved to Massachusetts, we were living with my grandparents, but it was not long after when they found of place of our own, not too far from my mother's parents. My parents had found new jobs and I had begun the first grade. It was at the age of 8, when I was in second grade, that I had learned that he was going to have a younger sibling named Andrew. Nothing had really changed until I entered the 4th grade and found what an excellent drafter I was, a trait that ran on my father’s side of the family apparently.

At age 11, I was learning expert techniques of computers, already being an expert at graphic editing, knowing how to mod electronics such as a PSP, and even advanced hacking. Even with middle school being a challenge, there was really nothing exiting (considering the fact that the school was like a dictatorship) until I was ready to face his next step in life, high school. I had chosen to go to a vocational vchool, where I chose IT (Information Technology)/Graphics as my trade. Currently, I am in my junior year of high school.

Arrival

I ever really wanted to be a part of internet communities since many of my friends had told me that most people will label you as a noob, the minute you make your first post. However, in June of 2007, I decided to register at the Nintendo Nsider Forums. I made many friends there and the community was great (except for the constant spamming in many boards, tough is was actually funny). I mostly went there share my thoughts and ideas about Phantom Hourglass and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. A few months later, though, Nintendo announced that they were closing down the Nsider Forums permanently. It was a confusing and upsetting time for many members since they only had contact with friends through Nsider, and now they were separated. These are examples of just how sad it was for some people:

Closed Nsider Videos.

I ended up at Smash World Forums, however the guidelines there were very strict, you weren't even allowed to make threads about Ridley being a playable character. Someone had linked to a site called "Nsider 2, the Rebirth" were I had ran into some old friends from Nsider. Then they announced that they were merging with a site simply entitled "Nsider2". Unfortunately there, I didn't see any of my old friends, but there were many users who recognized me. I was one of the first users to register there , well no. 56, but that's pretty close considering it currently has over 11,000 members. I made many new friends there and it seemed I was there to stay. Many of my friends began to drift to other sites, and it was at that time that I figured that I should do the same. I knew it was time to leave forums sites as well, I couldn't stand the constant spamming anymore, so I decided to join a wiki site. I knew I was going to join a video game wiki, and I ad my eyes on this place for a long time. I never joined here, though, because I was already busy and didn't have the time in the world to be a part of two different communities. On June 8th, I finally decided to join here at Zelda Wiki, and I hope to be very helpful to the community. I want to take the time to list the users who were good friends and really helped me out in the past at Nsider 1 & 2:

So yeah, now you know my history of my life and how I came to be here. So what do I do on a regular basis? Well, here's a list of my hobbies, interests and future goals:

Hobbies

  • Contribute at ZW (well duh): I love coming here, especially on a day where I find plenty of images to fix. I'm hoping the new Zelda comes out so I can unleash my true potential (like a tiger!)
  • Practice guitar and with my band: Thanks to our "band leader" and lead guitar, I've learned quite a bit
  • Create signatures, banners, and icons: Used to make them for people at other sites, so if you want any made, feel free to ask
  • Computer hacking and exploiting: I stay in means of the law, I'm not a power maniac like many hackers out there
  • Reading: I love reading, it's just as great as watching a movie (if not better... *coughEragoncough*). Problem is, I read quickly too, still comprehend it though. I often finish them the day I get them *sighs*. When Matt's series of books comes out though, I'll make sure to read them thoroughly =).
  • Modifying: Yes, one thing I can never stop doing. I'm constantly taking things apart and modding them, it's great. The result's always satisfying too, usually I modify game controllers by installing LEDs into the buttons, making them glow when you press them (I can't help them, so screw the warranties)
  • Cooking: I actually am pretty experienced in cooking too, I don't have a problem
  • Skate/Snowboarding: I'm not exactly the most athletic one out of the bunch, but I love skating and snowboarding (even though I break a lot of bones, lol)
  • Website designing: I'm thinking about getting in the website designing field soon, just need to learn more about the coding. So I've made some website templates in gimp, including one for Zelda Dungeon
  • Plan my future company: Yup, you heard me. My goal is to start my own computer company, to compete with Microsoft and Apple [assuming this economy doesn't destroy them =(]. I won't give out any specifics as to my Operating System's layout and functions, [nope not even the name] but I will tell you that I hope to team up with Mozilla and design many new applications with them and make Firefox the default browser for my OS.

Ohh, I'm revived. I will give you a Zora Tunic as a token of my thanks. If you have this, you can... What!? You already have one? You're ready for anything aren't you! With my heartfelt thanks...how about KISS?! You don't want it!? Oh well...

I had started playing video games when I was 3, starting with basic learning games. My father had given me a Game Boy (the original black and white), which he had used on transportation to other military bases, and an NES as well. It was a few years later that the N64 was released. This was a revolutionary time for game development not just for Nintendo, but for the whole “Gaming World” as they really had developed the some of the first true 3D platformers including games such as Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros., and Ocarina of Time, which were the basis of modern games. However completion grew at the release of the GCN, when new competitor (Microsoft) stepped up to the plate with the new Xbox. Even I, a hardcore Nintendo fan, had been drawn to Microsoft’s newest creation with the release of the ever popular Halo series.

This is my table showing which games I have completed, how many times they have been completed, and how much I have completed. You probably notice that I have the same number of completions as starts; that's because I never start what I know won't finish.

Favorite Conversation

This is the scene where Link and Midna confronting Ganondorf at Hyrule Castle.

Ganondorf: Welcome to my castle. *laughs*

Midna: So you're... Ganondorf

Ganondorf:[stands and laughs]

Midna: I've been dying to meet you.

Ganondorf: Your people have long amused me, Midna.

To defy the gods with such petty magic, only to be cast aside... How very pathetic. Pathetic as they were, though, they served me well.
Their anguish was my nourishment.
Their hatred bled across the void and awakened me. I grew deep of it and grew strong again.
Your people had some skill, to be sure...but they lacked true power.
[looks up at Zelda] The kind of absolute power that those chosen by the gods wield.
He who wields such power would make a suitable king for this world, don't you think?

Midna: Ha! Such conceit!

But if you are one of the chosen wielders as you claim... I will risk anything to deny you!

Ganondorf: Shadow has been moved by shadow, it seems...

...How amusing.
Very well... Deny me then! Yes, try to deny me. You and your little friend.

Favorite Epic Zelda Quotes

Ganondorf, pitiful man, without a strong righteous mind, he could not control the power of the gods.

— Zelda (Ocarina of Time)

Do not think that this ends here... the history of light and shadow will be written in blood!

— Ganondorf (Twilight Princess)

I think... I finally understand what my dad meant... when he told me he wanted me to be strong like you, Link. He didn't mean strength as in lifting stuff. He meant strength as in courage.

— Colin (Twilight Princess)

Time passes, people move. Like a river's flow, it never ends. A childish mind will turn to noble ambition. Young love will become deep affection. The clear water's surface reflects growth. Now listen to the Serenade of water to reflect upon yourself.

— Sheik (Ocarina of Time)

[after being beaten by Link in a battle on horseback, then being thrown off the horse] [to Link] An impressive looking blade... but nothing more. Would you hear my desire? To take this foul blade… and use it to blot out the light forever!

— Ganondorf (Twilight Princess)

Regrettable. Although my rival, you were spectacular. I shall take my bow by opening my heart and revealing my wisdom. [...] Belief or disbelief rests with you. To die without leaving a corpse... That is the way of us Garo.

— Garo Ninja ( Majora's Mask)

This power is granted to me by my god! It is the magic of the king of twilight, and you WILL respect it!

— Zant (Twilight Princess)

It is something that grows over time. A true friendship, a feeling in the heart that grows even stronger over tme. The passion of friendship will soon blossom into a righteous power, and through it you will know which way to go.

— Sheik (Ocarina of Time)

A sword wields no strength unless the hand that holds it has courage.

— Hero's Spirit (Twilight Princess)

First of all, let me introduce myself. I'm Nabooru of the Gerudo. I'm a lone wolf thief. But don't get me wrong! Though we're both thieves, I'm completely different from Ganondorf. With his followers, he stole from women and children, and even killed people! A kid like you may not know this, but the Gerudo race consists only of women. Only one man is born every hundred years... Even though our laws say that lone male Gerudo must become King of the Gerudo, I'll never bow to such an evil man!

— Nabooru (Ocarina of Time)

When a body is used by another, it can be called nothing but a puppet. This one has served its purpose, and it is useless.

— Majora's Mask ( Majora's Mask)

Game Abbreviations

I'm one of those people who are lazy and don't feel like spelling out long titles. With that being said, here are the abbreviations I use for the main Zelda titles (I don't use abbreviations for the CDI-Zelda games since I never talk about them, they frighten me).

Abbreviation Game
LoZ The Legend of Zelda
AoL/Z2 Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
LttP The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
LA The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
OoT The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
MQ The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest

MC The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
TP The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
LCT Link's Crossbow Training
TRR Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland

You may notice my names are a little different than most people use, but it's still clear what I'm talking about.

Here, I post the Friend Codes for all my Nintendo Wi-Fi games. If you ever want to challenge me to one of these games or make a userbox for another game, then you can say so on my talk page. Oh yeah, I don't play some of these games often, so I'll be good at certain games, and at others I'll suck.

End

If you have actually made it to the bottom of this page, you have just been made addicted to World of Warcraft. I'm glad to see that you have read my page, unless you just got down here from the Table of Contents.

Well, since you like skipping to the end of things, then you shouldn't mind when I tell you that Snape kills Dumbledore
or perhaps that Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father!

Well, I guess that's it for now. If you want to go back to the top, here you go.

It's a secret to everybody.
