Introduction

Swiftblade first entered the Zelda community back in 2004, when he got his very own computer. He stumbled upon Zelda Dungeon and was fascinated. It all grew from there. Swiftblade went on to become a well known member of the Zelda Community, and had a rather successful Zelda fansite. More details below.

Not So Humble Beginnings

Unfortunately, Swiftblade didn't enter the Zelda community on good terms, at least not to his knowledge. After lurking around the community for a few weeks, the young Swiftblade decided to make a site of his own. It was a no name site, of which he doesn't even remember the name of. Swiftblade didn't know anything about making sites at the time, and let's just say he sew this one together like Frankenstein. Little did he know, this was a bad thing. A few months in, people started coming to the site and leaving nasty comments, sending nasty emails, and so on. No warnings or anything, just constant flaming. It got so bad that Swiftblade, known as evildemon2590/Vinny at the time, had to shut down the site, and leave the Zelda Community.

Resurrection and Redemption...kinda

A few months later, after doing much research on the Zelda Community, and its rules, Swiftblade, now known a Legends, had decided to give making a Zelda site another shot; this time, doing everything the right way. He bought the domain name zeldarealms.com, and got hosted off his friend's dad's server. He was terrible at making web graphics at this time, (crazy right?) and threw together a crappy layout in M$ Paint. Crappy may be an understatement. Anyway, about a few months into Zelda Realms, Swiftblade was contacted by this guy named Jon, who would later go on to become the webmaster, Killswitch, of the acclaimed Zelda Legacy. Killswitch wanted to join the staff of Zelda Realms as the Graphic Designer. Having no idea how Killswitch found Swiftblade, or his site, (because he wasn't affiliated or linked with anyone. Not even on Google.) Swiftblade quickly accepted the offer. From here on, the site would grow and grow. Creating a name for itself amongst the smaller sites of the community. Killswitch's layouts were extravagant, and brought the site to levels that were previously unimaginable.

Upon searching Zelda Dungeon one day, Swiftblade checked their now extinct "Staff Needed Sites" page, and found a site named Zelda Genesis. Swiftblade visited this site and was very pleased with the sites design. He immediately sent an affiliation request to the sites webmaster, Karashimu, whom he would soon become very good friends with. Swiftblade eventually joined the staff team at Zelda Genesis as a content writer, and Graphic Artist. At Zelda Genesis, Swiftblade, (Still Legends.) would start his first ever forum experience. Swiftblade fell in love with forums. He loved the communities, the activities, and all the other Zelda fans to talk with.

More Stuff...

Eventually, Killswitch left the staff at Zelda Realms, to create his own Zelda site. After a few weeks, Zelda Legacy was open. It was a miraculous site, filled with great content, media, and a layout to boot. The forums were also great fun. Swiftblade joined the forums at Zelda Legacy, posted for a while, and for some reason that he doesn't remember, left. A while later, Zelda Realms much bigger, Swiftblade returned to the Zelda Legacy forums, when he heard he was being talked about in a fight involving his new co-webmaster. The fight got a little crazy, but it eventually settled down, and Swiftblade decided to stay at the Zelda Legacy forums, now on vBulletin. Swiftblade quickly made many friends here. It was the greatest forum experience he ever had. The community was constantly buzzing. The forums had become a hub for the webmasters of the community, and their members alike. It was great fun. So much to talk about, so much to do. Just a great experience. Eventually, Swiftblade became a moderator at Zelda Legacy. Oh, and he requested a name change to Swiftblade, after playing the Minish Cap, and thinking Swiftblade the First was really cool. Swiftblade would later get promoted to Super Moderator, and things would prosper.

Zelda Ultimate

Months would pass, and sites would flourish. It was during this time, that Swiftblade and Karashimu hatched a plan to merge their two sites, along with another site known as Zelda's Rejects. They created Zelda Ultimate, which would eventually grow to be a well known site in the community, almost becoming one of the "big sites". I'm not going to go into much detail on this part because it's too painful. The forums were pretty great. They had attracted their own userbase. The members were great. Eventually, the elitist group from ZL came over to ZU, and the place pretty much got torn apart. The end.

The Beau Guffey Chronicles

Beau Guffey... oh man... oh man. Beau Guffey was a user at Zelda Legacy that... um... corrupted the place. He had a big influence on Swiftblade, corrupting him, and influencing him to do bad things. Now I'm not saying that Beau is a bad person, in fact, he and Swiftblade are still good friends. Swiftblade however, has moved on, and stopped doing all that crazy stuff with Beau. So anyway, Beau joined under the name BeauG. He didn't like to follow the rules, and at first Swiftblade hated him, and wanted him out, because he saw what would become of the community if this kept up. (By the way, Swiftblade become an administrator at Zelda Legacy at this time.) Killswitch didn't seem to have a problem with him though, and did nothing about the situation. So Swiftblade had no choice but to accept BeauG. Swiftblade later became friends with BeauG, and started partaking in his little "activities". Most members of the community quickly left, and Zelda Legacy was no longer the place it once was. Now it was made up of a core userbase, and this userbase grew to be very elitist. Flaming new members, and other sites, were daily rituals. Zelda Legacy started to gain a bad reputation in the community, as did Swiftblade. Swiftblade eventually became known as "The Noob Slayer" amongst his friends at Zelda Legacy, because he would basically, verbally destroy new members. Eventually, most of the core userbase at ZL left, and the elitist group grew even tighter. Their antics got worse, much worse. They would partake in raids, hackings, flame wars, and so on. It was pretty bad. Soon, the forums would be utterly dead, and Swiftblade was devastated. He attempted many times to revive the forums to the Golden Land that they once were, but everything failed. Killswitch started to go through some rough times in his life away from Zelda Legacy, and eventually had to shut the site down.

Ancient Majicks... Oh Boy

After the fall of Zelda Legacy, BeauG, now calling himself Mr. Guffey, and another member of the elitist group, Black Mage (or bookking99) came to Swiftblade with a proposition to create a site out of a little joke/game Swiftblade had created. Swiftblade didn't really want to do it, but decided to anyway, since Ancient Majicks was his creative property. The site was a joke. They used Karashimu's vBulletin forums, and Swiftblade left the main site up to Mr. Guffey. It really all was a big jumble of *Navi*. Pretty much a safe-house for their raids and hackings. Heads started to clash, and the site went up in flames. Swiftblade was fed up with this life. Fed up with all the hackings and flamings, and dying communities. He wanted out. After Ancient Majicks slowly died off, Swiftblade became active at the Zelda Dungeon Forums.

Game Mirage

Shortly after Ancient Majicks bit the dust, Gravity decided to open up his site, GameMirage, that had been in development for about a month prior. Swiftblade was very, very reluctant to take part in this new site, because he left that community, but he was eventually persuaded to join by Karashimu. Swiftblade would take on the role of Site Designer, making graphics for the site, such as user-banners, and smileys. Gravity wasn't really ready to open the site yet, but he was kind of forced to. He was even a guest on one of Mases' Zelda Dungeon Video Podcasts, which gained the site some much needed publicity. Things went pretty well. The forums would reach 1000 posts in nearly a month, and the main site would flourish with news. It was a cool place to be. It was almost, and I really mean almost reminiscent of the old Zelda Legacy. No flaming, no hacking. Just a nice community, focused around video games. Eventually, Gravity would grow tired of the site, and he decided to shut it down, but that never happened. He let it sit for a while, and it started to fade very quickly. After a while, Gravity decided to completely redesign the site from the ground up, using the blogging system, Wordpress. He completely dropped the forums, and community aspect of the site, and would focus on news, reviews, and so on. There was a crappy little shoutbox on the side of the site, for the members who missed the forums, but it wasn't that great. To be quite honest, this new site sucked, and eventually, Gravity disappeared off the face of the internet, bringing GameMirage with him.

Participating in the Dark World

A little bit before GameMirage opened... a little bit before Ancient Majicks died, actually, Swiftblade decided to become a fully active member at Zelda Dungeon. He had an account there since Mases opened up the vBulletin forums, but didn't participate. Swiftblade's rank at this time was Fansite Worker. A fabulous pink colored group, for people who worked at other Zelda fansites. That would eventually fade, because Swiftblade no longer owned, or worked at any Zelda sites. At first, Mases was a little reluctant to have Swiftblade there, because of his notorious past, but Swiftblade proved to Mases that he had completely changed. Swiftblade even designed a new banner for the forums, because the old one was sucky. That gave Mases an idea to have a "submit your banner" contest. Making Swiftblade think that Mases didn't want to use his, because he made it. The winning banner was picked judging on which one had the most user votes. Miraculously, Swiftblade's banner won, and is sitting at the top of the Zelda Dungeon forums to this day.

Two months after becoming a fully active member at Zelda Dungeon, Swiftblade was promoted to the rank of Hylian Hero, (now known as Hylian Knight.) a group for the role models of the forums. From here on, Swiftblade would become an active face of the Zelda Dungeon forums.

Present Day

These days, Swiftblade can be found "kicking it with his homies" at the Zelda Dungeon forums.

On some day that I don't remember,Ordon Village's previous owner left and, granted Swiftblade ownership of the site. He has done much work with the site since then. Lots of new content was added, plus a plethora of downloadable media. The forums also reched over 1000 posts in his care.
