In Oracle of Seasons, the Western Coast is a small shore located directly west of Horon Village, and serves as one of the first areas Link can access in Holodrum. The beach serves as a holding place for a small pseudo-dungeon known as Hero's Cave, one of the first trials Link must face, and where he initially obtains a Wooden Sword.

Later in the game, Link returns to the Western Coast on two occasions - firstly while searching for the jewels required to access Tarm Ruins, and soon afterwards he is brought back to the Western Coast on a Piratian ship. This enables him to access the Cemetery.
