Here users can nominate and vote for ZW.org's next featured picture. Featured pictures should:

1. Depict a Zelda-related subject.
2. Carry the appropriate image templates denoting copyright information.
3. Be of a reasonably high resolution AND/OR
4. Be of a high quality in terms of detail and rendering
5. Meet all other criteria of Zelda Wiki.org's Image Quality Standards

Rules:

1. A picture needs the approval of ten users in its favor in order to be marked as featured.
2. You may make a maximum of one approval per calendar month.
3. You may not approve of a picture which you have nominated, or for which you have already previously approved.
4. Approvals should be added in order, with # at the beginning of the line.
5. A maximum of six Currently Nominated images are allowed at any given time. Please do not nominate a new image if there are already six nominees.
6. All approvals MUST be signed using ~~~~. If you do not sign your opinion or second, your comments WILL NOT be counted!
7. Be sure to include a brief message stating why you agree that an image should be featured. "Stub" votes (e.g. "I like this image", or "<character shown> is great") may be deemed invalid and discounted.

If a picture should receive three valid votes in opposition, it will be marked as a failed nomination.

Proper Opposition Guidelines:

1. You may make a single vote opposing any nominated picture (with no monthly restrictions). These should be reasoned oppositions based upon the qualifying criteria detailed.
2. Your personal like or dislike of the subject being depicted is NOT grounds for opposition.
3. Oppositions to images should only be used for reasons such as the following:

a. Low-resolution

b. Poor quality images (e.g. blurry, visible compression artifacts etc.)

c. Poorly cropped/rendered

d. An image depicting a similar subject is already featured

e. The image is just one in a series of many images of similar nature

If an administrator deems that a particular opposition does not follow these guidelines, it will be negated.

Important notice: Policy change The goal of the Featured Content selection process is ensure that only the best quality articles and pictures are showcased. To help ensure that this remains the case, the voting process is only open to autoconfirmed users. Any user who has been registered for longer than 30 days will automatically be promoted to autoconfirmed status after having made 200+ edits. The introduction of this measure also safeguards against abuse of the voting process, by users creating multiple accounts in order to vote more than once.

Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland

I think this is a great work of art from TRR, and it shows the complete nature of the game, along with some rare images of our favorite characters. It is an enjoyable piece of work, with a light-hearted atmosphere.—Alter 21:56, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

2. This is a great picture of Tingle from his own game and it also shows Uncle Rupee. Tingle being one of the more famous and recurring characters of the Zelda franchise I think he deserves to be featured and this picture fits those qualities.--Kresh64 21:58, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

5. I had wanted to upload and nominate this image before I left. This is one of my favourite pieces of "Zelda" artwork, because it's filled with so many details about its game, all combined in one breath-taking image that actually manages to make me want to pick up the game (again). 6. I'm going to have to pick this image. The other is ok while this image is amazingly brilliant. This image has a lot more going on as stated above. Link and Ezlo

This image never got a fair run. The opposition against it last time was invalid but we did not have the guidelines then. This one is just so cool. Of the four images like this, this one is the best in my opinion. And the other three are featured. I say this one deserves that too.—Matt ^(T C F S) 20:43, April 16, 2009 (UTC)
