Zangaroa's Top 3 Zelda Soundtracks (ZeldaInformer)

Majoras Mask SoundtrackOur Top 10 Zelda Scores list is pretty astounding, if I do say so myself. No, not because of the wise selections we made, the awe-inspiring way in which it was formatted, or how magnificently each song was described by our Phil Stetson, but because of its affects it had on two of the members of our community. Not only did it summon our crazed Bombers Writer Damir Halilović away from playing lackluster blues guitar solos in cheap, gritty Bosnian bars to actually being an active member of the site, but it actually got Captain Cornflake to write about something Legend of Zelda related.

Instead of doing what we did and compiling a list of his 10 top favorite songs, he took the comparatively easier route and wrote about his top 3 Zelda soundtracks: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and A Link To The Past. Check his thoughts over at Zangaroa, who, incidentally, are so currently kicking all of Northwest Connecticut's ass at web development and Internet marketing right now.

The Legend of Zelda - Music Tracks (ZeldaInformer)

zeldamusic.pngAs some of you might have seen, the site has recently published a top 10 list of our favorite Zelda tracks. Having been a huge fan of the music of the series for many years now, and a musician myself, it goes without saying that I was quite fascinated with the article, even though I might not agree with all the choices myself.

So, in that spirit I bring you now what might end up being part of an ongoing series of articles: Zelda music track picks and reviews. When thinking about which track I should pick for the article, it took me only a few minutes before making my choice--the Kakariko Village theme. Step inside for my thoughts.

Aonuma Video Interview (Zelda Universe)

We’ve all read the interview Aonuma had with IGN.com two days ago, but now we’ve got a video interview from GameSpot.com on him talking about Spirit Tracks, Zelda Wii, and just Zelda in general. Click here to watch the video.

  • November 14th, 2009 - Community Content: Our Community content has recently been moved to its own, newly created namespace (indicated by the "Community:" prefix). This will allow the Community pages to be expanded and improved in future, while keeping them separate from normal in-game content in the Main namespace.
  • November 4th, 2009 - New Wiki Exclusive Article: Many years after the feature was first launched, we're revisiting the Wiki Exclusives with the addition of a new article! We proudly present Trinity of Truth, by our very own Brent McBride (Cipriano 119).
  • October 24th, 2009 - Capitalized File Extensions: Over the past few days, all of the files which had capitalized extensions (.PNG, .GIF, .JPG etc:) have been moved so that they all have lowercase extensions (.png, .gif, .jpg etc:). When uploading files in the future, please remember to upload them with lowercase file extensions.
  • September 30th, 2009 - Thumbnail Issues Fixed: The thumbnail issue was rooted in ImageMagick, our image processing software. Until ImageMagick fixes its issues, we've switched to GD, an alternative image processor. It works just as well (and actually works), so we'll be sticking with it until ImageMagick gets its act together.

Ganon's appearance in Twilight Princess.
Ganon, spelled with only one "n" and never two (unless you speak of a specific mistranslation), is the most well known and diabolical villain in the Zelda series. His story, along with Link's, sets the background for most major events in each Zelda game. Ganon was also the final boss in the very first Zelda game for NES.

Ganondorf's backstory was developed most throughly in Ocarina of Time, where he was introduced as a legendary Gerudo male; to give an accurate perspective of this importance, one male is born in the Gerudo tribe every one hundred years. His title was the "King of Thieves." In Twilight Princess, he is known as the Dark Lord.

Ganon possesses two widely known forms: His typical Gerudo form and his "pig" form; in the former he is known as Ganondorf, the latter as Ganon, though the two are commonly and easily swapped, and hence have become interchangeable. In Twilight Princess, Ganondorf also makes an appearance as a false-god, enticing the newest villain, Zant, with his power.
