Cursed Bokoblins are Bokoblins who have reanimated themselves out of their hatred for the world. They take on the appearance of a zombie-like Bokoblin with skeletal arms, bandages, flies, and a rundown appearance. They lurk in the underworld part of the Ancient Cistern, and if Link is nearby, the zombies will crawl out from the ground. Cursed Bokoblins tend to pursuit Link in large groups and attack him by jumping on him, similarly to ReDeads.

Undead whose hatred accords them the ability to reanimate, Cursed Bokoblins take on a decaying appearance — with skeletal and bandaged arms, glowing yellow eyes, and chipped horns — and this is further exemplified by the flies swarming around them. They are primarily encountered in the deepest depths of the Ancient Cistern, though they also appear in the Sky Keep. If Link is nearby, Cursed Bokoblins will emerge from the ground in large groups and pursue him, attacking by latching onto Link and biting him. In addition to dealing damage, their bite also places a curse on Link.

Cursed Bokoblins are known to have a fear of shiny objects and if Link holds up his sword while it is charged with the Skyward Strike, or the Sacred Shield or one of its upgrades at the horde of zombies, they will cower in fear, keeping them at bay. Cursed Bokoblins can withstand a very large number of sword strikes before dying and will generally get back up the first few times they are knocked down. These enemies also cause a Jinx effect. However, they can be defeated immediately if Link uses a bomb or performs an Ending Blow on the undead enemies while they are lying prone after being knocked down by sword strikes. Upon defeat, Cursed Bokoblins may drop an Evil Crystal.

Template:Enemy Cursed Bokoblin is an undead variant of Bokoblin that appears in Skyward Sword.

Characteristics and Weaknesses

Link can exploit the monsters' fear of shiny objects by holding up either his sword while it is charged with the Skyward Strike or the Sacred Shield (or one of its upgrades) to keep them at bay. Curse Bokoblins can withstand many blows before succumbing, and they often get back up. Using bombs or the Ending Blow, however, will instantly defeat them, at which point they may drop an Evil Crystal.
