Template:Boss Dharkstare is the boss of the Ice Ruins in A Link Between Worlds. It is the Lorulean counterpart of Kholdstare, and guards the portrait of Rosso. Its lair lies at the very bottom of the ruins.

Strategy

Like his counterpart, Kholdstare, Dharkstare will encase himself in ice to protect himself. However, he is capable of movement, unlike Kholdstare. He will attack by trying to ram into Link, and shooting three orbs of ice, which will form a triangle around Link after being shot, and after a few seconds, anything inside the triangle will be frozen. In this form, its only weakness is the Fire Rod. After three hits, the ice barrier will melt, and it will flail around wildly. Link must then attack it with his Sword. After a few hits, it will disappear into the shadows and reappear in the middle of the arena, where it will create a new barrier of ice. After enough hits, his eye will become red, his tentacles will become purple, and he will shoot six ice orbs instead of three, meaning that he can create two freezing triangles at the same time. Once he is defeated, Link will recieve a Heart Container and Rosso's Painting.
