Acquired in the game's fifth palace, the flute allows Link to pass by what the villagers in the town of Nabooru call the River Devil. Once the flute is played, this troublesome roadblock disappears.

This flute once belonged to a young boy who set out in search of the Golden Power and never returned. Link finds this instrument buried in a forest grove, and uses it to call a bird to transport him around the Light World.
In The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages:
This flute is acquired by Link after he has met Dimitri, Ricky, and Moosh. Later, it is used to call one of these animals to aid him in his travels.

This flute is acquired by Link after he has defeated Mazaal. It is used to call a bird to transport him to the various Wind Crests
