:Yeah, Nintendo generally supports the manga, although the little things they add in are still not canon. Definitely worth a mention on the page, though.{{:User:Justin/sig}} 19:31, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Does anyone know anything about the Ocarina of Time 3D promotional manga? It was included in the Japanese, Taiwan, and Hong Kong player's guides. --[[User:KingStarscream|KingStarscream]] 15:36, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

A LOT of Missing Content

If anyone wants a to-do list, I suck with Wiki formats or I'd do it: Manga: http://historyofhyrule.com/publications/manga_index.php , 4Koma: (like the WW 4koma by Oyster- the info for it is on my site) http://historyofhyrule.com/publications/4koma_index.php, manga-ka: http://historyofhyrule.com/publications/manga_index_artist.php There's also more books and novels to add. The policy about not linking to (at least some respectful) scanlation sites as a resource is weird: Most of the manga has been out of print for over a decade. Is there some place to debate this rule? Melora 22:07, 29 December 2011 (EST)

Whoa...thanks for the list! Eep, that definitely shows how much missing content we have... Ah well, at least we know where to go to now to get the info to add to our pages. Also, as for the scanlation rule...I'm not really too knowledgeable about the do's and don'ts about that, so I don't really know what to say there. :/ Dany36 14:15, 30 December 2011 (EST)
;D Thanks for starting to add it! Yeah, now that it's public I try to keep the info on my site updated with all the publication info possible: so, if there's more info, I'll try to have it there as a resource. ...Well, I see that links to GlitterBerri's site seem to be fine, so I guess it is okay to have a link to http://historyofhyrule.com as well. All the manga on my site is out of print anyway: For the stuff in print: I only link to the sales & other info, exactly so people know where to buy it. (I'm only promoting sales, no one is losing sales: And that was the reason I just found was given on the Wiki. Well, then they talk about art being illegal to upload, which means that there couldn't be any art scans on this site if that's an actual rule- and since there is a ton of art and guide scans here: that makes no sense as a reason because it's completely contradictory. Weird. Maybe they were talking about scan sites like Mangafox.) So, yeah, in light of that I don't see any reason my site can't be added as a source for manga and other publications since it is the source. Yay. Thanks! Melora 22:26, 3 January 2012 (EST)

Seperate pages?

Do we want this page left as it is, or should we make pages linking off to each one? I know enough to do at least the ones for Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Link's Awakening and the Oracle series. Although I've read the Minish Cap, I've never had a chance to play the game... --Yuvorias, 23:25 22 March, 2008 (EST)

Quoi? I'm not sure what you're talking about, but I think this page should be made into a category instead. Saibh 11:31, 22 March 2008 (EDT)

Well, what I mean is, do we want to have a seperate page for each individual manga? --Yuvorias, 12:36 23 March, 2008 (EST)

I imagine. There already are a few. Saibh 22:00, 22 March 2008 (EDT)

If we're going to cover individual characters from manga and comics (Roam, Felicia, Karuna, etc.), we should cover the comics/manga themselves, and make a more organized category that spans both comics and manga. For that matter, there might as well make categories for Non-Canon People and Non-Canon Places (to be categorized into People and Places, respectively, so non-canon people like Roam aren't categorized alongside canon people like Rauru), instead of just non-canon media. Media seems as though it should just include manga/shows/whatever, with other Non-Canon information in its subcategories. --Douken 15:10, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

i HAVE TO READ IT!!!! WHERE CAN I GET THIS STUFF!Dragonstetraforce 21:12, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Don't get too exited the manga isn't as good as it sounds (I'm not saying its bad, it's just too short), anyways, you can read them LINK REMOVED FOR COPYRIGHT VIOLATION User:Steven/sig 22:00, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
I'm sorry the Manga has not been officially been translated from Japanese. As such, any fan-translationed versions are illegal and Zelda Wiki.org will not have direct-links to such content. Therefore, the link has been removed.User:Matt/sig 22:36, October 5, 2008 (UTC)
An explanation of why this is illegal can be found here.User:Matt/sig 22:42, October 5, 2008 (UTC)
Wow, I had no idea, sorry about that User:Steven/sig 22:46, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

No problem. I didn't even know until Ando told me about four months ago.User:Matt/sig 22:51, October 5, 2008 (UTC)

It's all being brought over to America, though. Volume 1 of OoT is out this month, volume 2 in December, Majora's Mask (YES YES YES) in February, and Oracle of Ages in April. No word yet on the others, but I'd imagine that they're soon to follow. User:Ando/sig 03:37, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
P.freaking.S. As these come out I'll try buying them and working on their Wiki articles, only one of which actually exists. D: These are Zelda, too! They deserve articles! At least detailing the differences between them and the games (OH MY GOSH I CANNOT WAIT FOR FEBRUARY).
I'll do Link's Awakening. It's my fav, after all :)
When I get a spare moment, I'll look over the manga and compare it to the game, then plagiarize a bunch of sites and call it an article! Well...maybe not the last bit ;)
And on a side note, Ando, I'm currently working on a MM fanfic. Thought you should know ;)

Censored Content

Perhaps for each of the mangas, a list of the content that has been "censored" by Viz should be listed. What are the thoughts on this? (I'm not talking about each swear word) Alter  {T C B H } 06:01, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

We need to put this?

Remember an article where both Eiji supported the mangas' stories since they fills the holes from the stories that didn't make it in the game. Do you remember? I do, but I couldn't find the article, but I have read it months ago! :/ --Isamisa 23:45, 9 January 2013 (UTC)

Anyone here?--Isamisa 14:51, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

I do vaguely remember that, yes. Doesn't mean much unless an actual quote can be found. Nintendo definitely has publicly supported the manga before, though. — Hylian King [*] 15:03, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

I've found some: Aonuma says this: "But quite honestly, I am delighted that you (Akira) have just managed to fill those gaps with some of the manga adaptation." Source: http://www.zeldauniverse.net/forums/general-zelda/107528-zelda-manga-interview-with-akira-himekawa-and-aonuma-finally-translated.html --Isamisa 15:44, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, Nintendo generally supports the manga, although the little things they add in are still not canon. Definitely worth a mention on the page, though.User:Justin/sig 19:31, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
