Here, users can nominate and vote for ZW.org's next featured article. Any article worthy of being featured exemplifies the Wiki's quality standards, and goes above and beyond what is expected in a normal encyclopedia entry. Featured articles should:

  1. Have exceptionally fluid American English grammar and spelling.
  2. Be lengthy, yet detailed.
  3. Be well organized (as in subdivisions).
  4. Cite sources, and cite them properly.
  5. Be properly categorized.
  6. Contain the most up-to-date information possible.
  7. Have no template requesting improvement, merging, deletion, or any template that may in some way state the article is not of excellent quality. In this respect, there should be no duplicate of the nominated article, nor should the article be a duplicate of another page.
  8. NOT be copied from Wikipedia, or from any site that does not run the Wiki, under any circumstances!

For help on the correct format used to add nominations or votes, see the Featured Content Help.

Rules:
Scoring and conditions for passing a nomination:

  1. All nominations start with an initial score of zero.
  2. A supporting vote adds 1 to the score.
  3. An opposing vote subtracts 1 from the score.
  4. An article needs to achieve a score of +5 within 4 months of the nomination date in order to be featured.
  5. A nomination automatically fails if the score drops to -3.

Voting:

  1. You may only vote once on any particular article.
  2. You may not vote on any articles you have nominated.
  3. Votes should be added beneath the relevant header (either support or opposition), with # at the beginning of the line. The current score must be updated to reflect this new vote.
  4. Supporting votes should include a brief message stating why the article should be featured.
  5. Opposing votes must specify how the article fails to meet one or more of the qualifying criteria described above.
  6. All votes MUST be signed using ~~~~ If you do not sign, your vote WILL NOT be counted!

This page was refreshing for me. It's an older enemy that got limited exposure in the series. I thought the article was well-fleshed out and in-depth for such unpopular enemy. It has plenty of references, lots of details, a pleasing layout, everything you'd want in an article.Matt (Talk) 02:33, February 16, 2011 (UTC)

  1. Definitely one of the best enemy pages on the site, its got quite a nice layout without losing vital information, and doesn't confuse details across games unlike many other enemy articles. If it has any faults, its that it probably has a few too many images at the moment of writing, but it has a lot of accurate information and is presented in a good manner. 1. I don't really know, it looks pretty messy to me. The page certainly has enough information, and quite a few references, but image usage especially makes the page seem just ... I don't know, umm ... messy is still the best term I can think of. Especially the trivia section. Just a bit of cleaning and it has my vote. ZENOX T C 22:16, 17 February 2011 (EST)
  2. As I have already voted "for" Hyrule Castle this month, I'll just say that it is a good article, but I would recommend losing the trivia section if you wish it to have a real chance at being featured. Vyselink
  3. The article is well written, and well-sourced. My only gripe is that it is perhaps the longest "common enemy" article, and it is not yet harmonized with the other "common enemy" articles that have, for the most part, taken on a similar layout. Once this is done, I think this'll be prime for featuring. — ciprianotalk 00:13, 14 March 2011 (EDT)

1. This picture just does not look good. I agree with Zenox. It is really messy. I hate that enemy anyway(Not that my opinion on the enemy itself matters.). TriforceSlash 12:24, 19 April 2011 (EDT) (this is about an article not a picture)'Mandi Talk 19:40, April 19, 2011 (UTC)

Kakariko Village

Kakarikovillageoot.jpg

I expected less when I went to this article. I was surprised with the amount of detail it has. It's not the largest article, but it doesn't need to be. It is large enough to describe the village wonderfully and it has plenty of essential references. Reading it certainly stirs many memories.Matt (Talk) 02:33, February 16, 2011 (UTC)

  1. I don't really know why. I just think this article is good and helpful. --Toon Link Guy 00:39, 21 June 2011 (EDT)
  2. Beautiful and well made page. Exemplifies our quality standards. --Xizor 20:11, 2 November 2011 (EDT)
  3. This article has a nice, well designed structure that flows very well when reading, and has good sourcing and plenty of images. It's got my vote. Zelda4life 10:57, 7 November 2011 (EST)
  4. I votes for this article, because it's really nice and helpful. It has everything that is needed to get featured. --Niklas 14:50, 26 January 2012 (EST)
  5. Definately. Kakariko was a wonderful village in OoT and ALttP. It deserves to be featured more than any other article (Besides Link, Zelda, Ganon, The Triforce, The Sacred Realm). Echo of Courage 11:13, 29 January 2012 (EST)
  6. As I played through Twilight Princess for the first time, this was an article that helped me get a better understanding of the location by feeding me with information I wasn't able to find myself. I like the article. --NorskTW 18:43, 1 January 2012
  7. I agree for pretty much all of the reasons stated above. The article is very detailed, and has plenty of references. The subject of the article is important, but the article itself is still very high quality. I think it deserves to be featured. Dannyboy601Talk 15:47, 29 May 2012 (EDT)
  8. Kakariko Village is always a relevant location in every game it appears in, and coupled with the fact that the article has plenty of references and extensively details how the village plays an important role in each game, then I vote YES to this being featured. --Dany36 14:35, 15 June 2012 (EDT)
  9. Extremly detailed and well written, goes through everything related to the topic and even great theroy and trivia. ~~ Link17 16:41, 23 June 2012 (EST)

This is one of the first towns that you actually go to in one of the most famous Zelda games so i defiantly think it should be fetured --Fudgehog15 19:17, 28 August 2011 (EDT)

Articles are featured for the quality of their content. The subject itself is irrelevant. — Hylian King [*] 18:39, 29 August 2011 (EDT)

Helmaroc King

Helmaroc King.png

This article is full of knowledge, without excess or repeated information. I think it has amazing detail, especially on the Appearances and Strategy section, and just shocked me when I first saw it. Including the figurine template and plenty of resources, I believe this article has the potential to be featured. --TheHK (T) (C) 18:05, 11 October 2011 (EDT)

Ikana Kingdom

Ikanastalfos.png

I know it's not the longest of articles, but the little information we have about Ikana Kingdom and its history has been gathered neatly in a well-written article. It has plenty of sources with the information that the game has scattered about this somewhat mysterious kingdom, and although it has some theory along with it, it is not too far-fetched. --Dany36 15:27, 15 April 2012 (EDT)

  1. This article pulls together scattered bits of information to form an informative, well-referenced, and interesting article on one of the mysteries of the series. This, to me, is what this wiki are all about: not just stating the obvious—what this character says and does or how to beat this boss—but going further than that so every reader takes away from an article. It's articles like these that bring the Zelda universe to life. — Hylian King [*] 21:11, 15 April 2012 (EDT)
  2. Informative, well-written and with plenty of references. Zeldafan1982 13:12, 16 April 2012 (EDT)
  3. This article is a great example of what articles on this wiki should be like. It is neat, informative, well-referenced, and delves into one of the most mysterious subjects within the Zelda universe without containing too much speculation or theory. Dannyboy601Talk 13:48, 16 April 2012 (EDT)
  4. This article has just about every reference relating to its subject that I can think of, which is great. Also written very in-universe, and concerning a topic that hasn't been covered to death. +1! Embyr 75  --Talk-- 12:00, 17 April 2012 (EDT)
