The "Tune of Currents,"[1] also known as the "Currents Tune,"[2] is a song in Oracle of Ages.

Location and Uses[]

It is the second tune that Link learns to play on the Harp of Ages. It is given to him by Tokkey, a man who researches tunes and time traveling, when Link plays the "Tune of Echoes" for him.

The "Tune of Currents" causes time to flow quickly forward.[3] When Link plays it in the past age, he immediately forwards to the present, no matter what his location. However, if he cannot land in that space in the present age, he will be sent back (just like the Magic Mirror in A Link To The Past).[4]

A temporary portal will be left at Link's destination, which can be used to travel back to the past age. This temporary portal will disappear when Link uses it, or one of the time portals on the map.
